Keep as many cookbooks as you like. Share “Family” with your parents and “Christmas Baking” with your partner. Everyone in a cookbook can add recipes, fix them and cook from them, on their own iPhone.
Invitations go through Messages or Mail with iCloud sharing, so there's nothing to sign up for.
